Autofocus and Image Quality for Portraits

Shooting portraits with the pancake prime, eye-detection AF is nearly instant in normal light and still locks reliably in low light. Skin tone rendering and dynamic range rank near the top of its price bracket.

The Weak Spot: Street Photography and Continuous Tracking

Tracking fast-moving pedestrians or vehicles, continuous AF occasionally loses focus and has to reacquire. Tracking sensitivity can be adjusted in the custom menu, but overall it's less stable than higher-end bodies.

Video Specs and Everyday Recording

4K 30fps video looks detailed, but there's no 60fps option, so slow-motion for sports content requires compromise. For everyday vlogging, it's more than sufficient.
